Importing companies in Bizzy

When importing companies in Bizzy, we will follow this hierarchy of provided data:

  1. Country code

  2. Company number

  3. Website

  4. Name

If you don’t have the company number, you can still import companies on company name and/or website and/or country code. Make sure to add as much data as possible. Based on the available data, we will try to look for the matching company in Bizzy. If we find multiple matches, we won’t import the company as we don’t know which one is the correct one. If we find one match, we will import the company.

Once the import is done, you’ll also see an overview of the companies that we couldn’t import.

Preparing your import list

To do an import, make sure to create a company list in CSV format without a column name:

  • Column 1: Company number (if known)

  • Column 2: 2-letter country code (obligatory field)

  • Column 3: Company name (if known)

  • Column 4: Website (if known)

You can download a CSV example at the end of this article.

Notes:

  • Importing companies based on company number and country code

    • For Belgian companies: You can use the company number and BE, which is the same as the VAT number. You can simply import Belgian companies by having one column that contains the VAT number.
Example: Electrabel can be imported as BE0403170701 (column 1) or as 0403170701 (column 1) BE (column 2)

    • For Dutch companies: You can use the company number (KVK) and NL
Example: Jumbo Supermarkt can be imported as 16044409 (column 1) NL (column 2)

    • For French companies: You can use the company number (SIREN) and FR
Example: Renault Group can be imported as 780129987 (column 1) FR (column 2)

    • If you do an import on company number and country code, you can also add both in the first column and leave the second column empty.

    • When importing on company number and country code, you don’t need to fill in the third and fourth column of the CSV file.

  • The company name isn’t case-sensitive, but it is space-sensitive

  • Don’t forget to add all columns, even if it’s empty. Otherwise, data will be wrongly interpreted
